Travelling around La Rochelle by boat

Le Passeur (Shuttle Ferry)

This is an electric boat that takes you between the 2 banks of the Vieux Port (Old Port) of La Rochelle on request. Whether it be to get to the new Mediatheque from the Town Centre after arriving at the boarding pontoon by Autoplus Bus, or to get to the town centre from the Ville en Bois or Les Minimes marina, the Passeur Autoplus frees you from all traffic constraints. It operates on request from the embarkation on the Vieux Port side, or simply by calling it from the Ville en Bois, if it is not already at the quay. To make travel even easier, the Passeur Autoplus has access for bikes and wheelchairs.

Le Bus de Mer (Sea Bus)

A regular service between the Vieux Port of La Rochelle and Les Minimes marina (20-minute crossing) lets you discover the many riches of these two districts. To get to the Bus de Mer without any problems of parking, Autoplus provides different services such as bus, bike, taxi or barge, depending on where you park your personal vehicle.
