Les Etapes du Cognac (The Stages of Cognac) offer four itineraries that take you from village to village to meet the owners, viticultural traditions and a heritage linked to the history of this eau-de-vie. La Route des Huîtres (Oyster Route) wends through the Ile d’Oléron and the world of oyster farming traditions, between huts and oyster ponds, to the nature site of Fort-Royer.
History and Architecture
The Route to Santiago de Compostela, truly an open book on the Middle Ages, provides the opportunity to discover magnificent landscapes and prestigious monuments in the footsteps of the long-ago pilgrims. La Route Historique des Trésors de Saintonge (The Historical Route of the Treasures of Saintonge) invites you to visit some of these monuments, from châteaux to churches, and Roman Art.
