The association Terres Marines was created in 1994, and will show you all there is to know about being an oyster farmer with a visit to the huts, the claires (maturing ponds) and the oyster parks between Port-des-Barques and the Ile d’Oléron.. Forty or so professionals belong to this association, all of them wishing to valorise their activity, products and environment.

 The Terres Marines flotilla

As part of its discovery circuits, the association offers sea outings, conditions permitting. When the tidal coefficients are right, the oyster farmers take people out on their boats to their parks, allowing them to see for themselves the actual practices and techniques of their profession.
Embarkation is at the Chenal d’Ors, the Château d’Oléron and the ports of La Baudissière, Saint-Trojan, Marennes and Port-des-Barques.
