 In the Rochefort area
The Charente-Maritime has two boating stations - in the areas of Rochefort and of Royan - places that guarantee you everything you need to go boating. |

The Rochefort area boating station offers you the possibility of discovering the estuary of the Charente in a sailing boat, rowing boat or motorboat. You can also discover the Ile d’Aix and Ile de Madame, the fortifications of the Grand Arsenal (G reat Arsenal), the famous Fort Boyard as well as the former Gulf, a marshy area bordering the land and the sea. There is also fishing on offer, and the discovery of the environment at sea, on the foreshore, the Charente and the marshes.

In the Royan area |
The Royan area lies between the sea and the land and is bordered by two estuaries, the Gironde and the Seudre. It is the ideal spot to enjoy a wide range of boating activities and, on six different sites, the station offers surfing, kite-surfing, sand-yachting, water-skiing, catamaraning, and boat cruises. In addition to this you will also find 4 harbours with facilities and 1,500 mooring rings, 3 stopover marinas and a boat park.
