All the equipment
Standing up on something very like a surfboard – the kiteboard – with your feet in the footstraps, you are pulled along by the kite sail. You navigate perpendicular to the wind, as for windsurfing. The kite sail is maneuvered with a bar or handles. A windsurfing harness is used to attach you to the bar. |
Recommended specialist schools
| Surprisingly, kitesurfing is quite easy to learn. Nevertheless is recommended - essential even - to start off in a specialist school; kitesurfing can be dangerous if you are not in full control of the kite sail. There are several different sizes of kite sail, making kitesurfing open to all. Children can start from 12 years old. |
