Sand-yachting is an accessible and fun water sport activity that even beginners can get great pleasure from very quickly. The long sandy beaches of Charente-Maritime are ideally suited to this sport.
An easy and heady experience
As soon as the wheels start to turn everybody enjoys themselves. Fantastic acceleration just above the sand means that sand-yachting is a heady experience. Lying down or leaning back, you hold the tackle in your hand and steer with your feet.
Learning and quality
Clubs and French sand yacht Schools guarantee the quality of the equipment provided. They also have qualified supervisors and everyone can find a session suited to their age, size and technical proficiency. And to provide even better safety guarantees the Fédération Française de Char à Voile (French Sand Yachting Federation) launched a quality label in 1996 to recognise the quality of clubs and schools.
